Critical Illness Financial Assistance Scheme

According to Government Decision No.LFC-2006 /P.No.4770 /Finance-3 Ministry of Mumbai 40032 dated 03 November 2006, Zilla Parishads from their own funds provide financial assistance to patients suffering from chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease, kidney disease.

According to the government circular, beneficiary assistance is given for Rs 15000/- (literal rupees fifteen thousand only) to the patients living in rural areas and suffering from chronic diseases (cancer, heart disease, kidney).

According to section 99 (a) of the Maharashtra Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti Act, 1961, Hon’ble Chief Executive Officer has the authority to approve this scheme technically and according to section 125 administrative approval.

As per Government Decision No-LFC-2006/P.No.4770/Finance-3 Ministry of Mumbai 40032 dated 03 November 2006, assistance is provided to the patients who are treated in the listed hospitals.
